OBOE / BASSOON
A native of Wisconsin, Rachel Lueck earned her Bachelor of Music degree in oboe performance with a concentration in jazz studies from Drake University, a Master of Arts degree in Arts Presenting from the University of Miami, as well as a Master of Music degree in oboe performance from the University of North Texas and a Doctorate of Musical Arts at Michigan State University in oboe performance. She has performed at the prestigious North Sea Jazz Festival, the Crested Butte Music Festival, and at the International Double Reed Society Convention in Ithaca, NY. She has performed in the University of North Texas Baroque Ensemble, Dallas Bach Society, snd the Mercury Baroque Orchestra in Houston, TX.
Dr. Rachel Lueck currently serves as adjunct professor of oboe and bassoon at New World School of the Arts and Florida International University and served on the faculty of the Interlochen Summer Music Program in Michigan.
